So, things have changed. I don't have a lot of followers but for those reading; things have certainly changed. My approach to art is completely different in many ways. Let me explain.
When I posted here last time, which I believe was in 2012-2013(?) I didn't really know what I was doing. It was an important experience but little did I know. I always felt that my linework stuff was pure luck when I succeeded. I didn't control it. I was lacking of control and understanding. Instead of collecting reference from real life, I watched other people's illustrations and tried to sneak in some elements from there and some shit from another artist and so on.
Now it's may -14, and I return here with (at least) a clue of understanding fundmentals, light, contrast, textures, shadows, objects placed in 3D space and so on. I'm also more interested in the craft of painting, instead of struggling with perfect lines. Sampling colors and rub it in feels more like creating. Let something take shape. Do it all in one layer with the confidence that if I mess up or wanna change; I can simply erase and draw that again. No problems.
Thanks for (if you're) reading.
